Why did I choose UD?
For me, this is a very complicated question because there are so many reasons why I knew UD was the right school for me. From the minute I stepped onto the campus, I knew I belonged here. Growing up, I always knew I wanted a big college with a lot of diversity and a lot of extra activities like sports (football), clubs and academic opportunity. I didn’t want to be too far from home, but I didn’t want to be too close either. For me, UD was the perfect distance from my hometown of Fairfield, CT. UD gave me the feel of a real college town and showed me that I could have every opportunity in the world if I was able to attend. I also knew that I wanted to major in Criminal Justice, so it was very very important to me that UD had a great arts and sciences program that I knew I could succeed in. Like I said, there are a million and one reasons why I chose to come to UD; I could go on for days! All in all, I know I ended up in the right place, and when you find the right college, you will just know!
I’ve been following the Trayvon Martin case since day one and I never thought I would see protestors in Newark, DE. Yesterday there was a huge crowd protesting down main street asking for justice for the young boy who got gunned down in late February.
This is a photo from Phi Sigma Kappa’s philanthropy event on Tuesday night called Miss Greek where my sister Paige represented ADPI with a broken arm! Although we didn’t win, she did such an amazing job and all of the sororities who were there to support their sisters raised a ton of money for the Special Olympics of Delaware!
